  • The U16’s posted 2 wins against BVSC (Kansas) and Carolina Elite Soccer Academy and 1 defeat versus McLean Soccer (Virginia). 
  • The U17’s posted 2 wins against St Louis and Vardar (Michigan) and 1 draw against Birmingham United .
  • The U18’s posted 2 wins against Concord Fire (Georgia) and BVSC and 1 defeat against Colorado Storm.

(Dec. 15, 2011) – US Club Soccer has announced that the New York Club Soccer League (NYCSL) has become the newest addition to the organization’s National Premier Leagues (NPL).
 
The NPL has been created to provide a unified, league-based national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in given geographic areas, and to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon fundamental principles outlined in US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision.
 
The NYCSL - NPL Division, which will include six age groups (U-12 through U-16 and U-18 boys), is the top tier of the NYCSL and is initially comprised of nine clubs in the Eastern New York area.
 
Set to kick off in spring 2012, NYCSL - NPL Division teams will play a regular-season schedule with the age group winners advancing to the inaugural National Premier Leagues Champions Cup in July 2012.
 
“The New York Tri-State area has numerous competitive clubs that are developing players and the NPL is a great platform that will showcase these quality organizations,” said World Class FC Boys Director of Coaching Vincent Sileo. “One of our core missions is to develop our players to play at the highest level so that we can give them the opportunity to play on a national stage.”
 
With the addition of the NYCSL NPL Division, the NPL now includes 12 leagues across the United States:

  • Florida Premier League
  • Gulf States Premier League
  • Midwest Developmental League
  • New England Premier League
  • New York Club Soccer League
  • NorCal Premier League
  • Northeast Pre-Academy League
  • Northern Illinois Soccer League
  • Oregon Premier League

  • Texas Pre-Academy League

ABOUT THE NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUES:

 
US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues have been created to provide a national competitive developmental platform:

  • focused on long-term player development;
  • for the country’s top soccer clubs, allowing consistent, meaningful high-level games appropriately scheduled with higher training-to-game ratios;
  • that allows players to be scouted and evaluated by U.S. Soccer National Staff and Technical Advisors;
  • that is designed and structured by the clubs, based on the needs of the clubs;
  • using international rules of competition;
  • that provides an avenue for qualification for the NPL Champions Cup.
The NPL is an important component of US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision to refine the landscape for competitive youth soccer. This vision recognizes that:
 
  • properly-structured youth soccer clubs are the vehicle through which player development does and must occur in the United States.
  • clubs should play in leagues that provide meaningful games, allow establishment of the proper training-to-game ratio, and eliminate calendar congestion.
  • National Premier Leagues, as well as the best clubs, should be integrated in US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program, include Player Development Programs (PDPs) in select local markets, and work closely with U.S. Soccer staff regarding player identification, and player and coach development.

US Club Soccer is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop competitive club soccer in the United States. A member of the United States Soccer Federation since July 2001, US Club Soccer has grown to include member clubs and leagues in all 50 states. In addition to sanctioning and administering tournaments, leagues and other competitions as well as offering a range of programs for its members, US Club Soccer annually conducts the National Cup. WCFC U14 ECNL  -  The girls won their bracket with a victory against South Shore Select Legacy (4-1) and two draws against World Cup SC of Nashua (2-2) and ISA Sting Thunder (2-2), advancing to the championship match on Sunday against Roxbury Spurs.  In the finals the girls posted a 1-0 victory to take home the championship. 

WCFC U15 ECNL - The girls won their bracket with three victories against PDA (3-1), Massapequa (4-1) and FSA United (2-0), advancing to the championship match on Sunday against Manhattan Hotspur.  In the finals the girls posted a 2-1 victory to take home the championship.

WCFC U17 Premier - The girls won their bracket with three victories against Explosion FC Orange Crush from Mass. (3-0), Morris United (2-0) and Lake Grove Power (2-0), advancing to the championship match on Sunday against Crusaders United from Mass.  This was a close match that went to overtime with the Crusaders edging out WCFC on PK’s. 

WCFC U18 ECNL  -  The girls won their bracket with two wins against Yankee United (1-0) and Vaughan Azzurri fron Canada (2-0) and a draw against Matchfit Chelseas Wildcats (1-1), advancing to the championship match on Sunday against Massapequa Force.  In the finals the girls posted a 1-0 victory to win the championship.

Dix to participate in the MSSL Winter College Showcase tournament.  The team advanced to the playoff round, facing the New York Soccer Club.  The team fell in the semi-finals 2-1, finishing the tournament in 3rd place.  The event attracted 30 of top U15 premier level boys teams in the region.

 Two wins and a draw in group play - allowing just a single goal in three games while recording the highest point total in the entire flight - ensured a place in the final.   However the schedule only gave the 14-member team an hour to recover from their last game, and they fell 2-1 to a large, fresh-legged squad in a thrilling final that saw the team creating chance after chance up to the final whistle.

At the same event the WCFC U10 Girls team won all three games in round-robin play and advanced to the Finals.

]]> http://www.wcsocceracademy.org/home/562618.html World Class FC Hosts USSF Soccer Training Center Program 11/20/2011 07:35 PM http://www.wcsocceracademy.org/home/520277.html During the Fall 2011 season, WCFC hosted player evaluation sessions sponsored by the United States Soccer Federation’s player identification program.   These invitation-only sessions are run by the Head Technical Advisor in charge of Region I (Boys and Girls) for the USSF.

In addition to working within the U-15/16 and U-17/18 age groups, the Technical Advisor also works with younger age groups in Region I.  The purpose of the Training Center program is to identify the best players for the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team program.  Kazbek Tambi, the World Class FC DOC, will be assisting in these evaluations. 

USSF Training Center sessions were held on September 15, October 20 and November 16

 

 

 

 

]]> http://www.wcsocceracademy.org/home/520277.html World Class FC Joins the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) 11/20/2011 07:37 PM http://www.wcsocceracademy.org/home/520276.html We are pleased to announce that World Class FC has been invited to join the Elite Clubs National League ("ECNL"), a premier level, national league for girls soccer.  From the almost 90 clubs that applied for membership, the ECNL has announced that fourteen new clubs have been extended new membership invitations for the 2011-2012 ECNL season.  With the new clubs joining, the number of ECNL clubs will increase to 66 for the 2011-2012 season, representing some of the top soccer clubs in the U.S.

The ECNL is a non-profit national youth soccer league founded in 2009 to provide the best possible developmental environment for American female youth soccer players through the creation of the highest level of national competition and an identification and development program to provide an avenue for players to participate in U.S. Soccer’s National Teams.   Each of the 66 ECNL Member Clubs in 2011-2012 will have a team in the U-14 through U-18 age groups, each competing for the ECNL National Championship and the ECNL National Club Championship. The ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer.
